Salsavine becoming Dancevine

Dancevine Values

The aims of Salsavine have always been to promote the fun, freedom and friendship we associate with while dancing. We intend to widen the attraction to include all forms of social or street dancing that also promote these values. Hence the name of the magazine will be changing from the September 2003 issue onwards.

What's New about Dancevine

Dancevine will be distributed FREE at supermarkets during the issue month. Salsavine's print run for July 2003 was 10,000 and the intended print run for Dancevine in September 2003 is between 15,000 and 30,000.

Raising our Profile

Salsa and other forms of street dance such as Modern Jive are still considered niche activities in the UK. Dancevine aims to change this perception by distributing in maintream supermarkets such as Sainsbury's, Tesco's and other public distribution points. To facilitate this Dancevine will be published quarterly and distributed as complimentary at approved locations and at approved times. This will include dance clubs and supermarkets during the first weeks of the publication month.

Publication months are September, December, March & June. The price for Dancevine when sold will be £3.50 or £12 per annum for subscribers. We expect the distribution to more than double as a result of this move.
